About Me

I'm retired, and have time now for some writing. I've started a novel, have a little over 4,000 words on it, and hope to have it finished by June of 2010. I enjoy playing tennis, mostly singles, and look forward to getting out on the court as soon as warm weather hits.

Favorites

Authors

  • Clive Cussler used to be my favorite author. But I don't think his present novels are as tight and well thought out as his first ones.find at: Amazon

Books

  • I'd have to say, one of my old favorites is "The Grapes of Wrath" by Steinbeck. Another is "Silent Spring" by Rachael Carson. The original in book form would be "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Vernes. "The Origin of the Species" by Charles Darwin is another.find at: Amazon

Quotes

  • I don't have a favorite quote. If I had one, it would run along the lines of - Dreams are made one chunk at a time. If the dream seems too big, start with smaller chunks. If that's still a problem, stomp on it a bit to mash it up, scoop it up into a blender, and see what comes out. Maybe that'll be easier to work with?
