I've wanted to be a writer since 8th grade, but was missing the drive to finally sit down and do it. But I got married and my wife is my biggest fan after reading many short stories of mine. Also, she gives me a bad time about not even trying to write a book like I've dreamed. So with some not so gentle prodding from her, I'm writting everyday and well on my way to finishing my first novel. Getting it published is another matter...
