i waited a couple of weeks, nothing.

does it expire if too many people pass on it? i'd asked teens not to review it.

thanks for explanation

SueE

Sue, sorry you didn't get all your reviews. I would be happy to look at your submission if you want. Just let me know and you can send it to my email or we will figure something out.

how kind, Kimb! many thanks. goodness, that is very lovely of you to offer. my email's su-ee@live.com, or if you put your email here, i'll send.

SueE

One thing you might try is to post your work up as "public" instead of private. This opens it up to general reviews, and not just assigned reviews. I find I can get more than my 3 assigned reviews in this manner.

zmortis

thanks for the suggestion, zmort! although, one thing i worry about is print pubs asking if it's been exposed to the internet at large...what do you think?

SueE

If stories are placed in the public section of this site, then they'll be considered previously published by most editors because anyone can read them without logging in. Therefore, you'll have to sell it is a "reprint" after.

cbcalsing

I'm glad I only put up 4 chapters of my 52 chapter story then Cbcalsing, hehe. Since I'm the publisher for my works, I don't have to worry about listing them as "reprints" as this only constitutes a "writing sample" of my work at large.

zmortis

I also would advise anyone to protect their copyright by registering their work with their country's copyright office (as I have done with my work) before puting portions of it on the internet for general consumption.

zmortis

Hmmm. .interesting. I was told by a lawyer that the pages on your computer can actually act as a copywrite as they can be pulled up according to date 'conceived.' Re-print? That sounds fishy.

kimbrly

A work is technically copyrighted when it is written/produced. However, the copyright can not be defended by a law suit in the USA unless the work is on file with the US Copyright office.
